History	Wheatlands Plantation is a historic property located in Sevierville, Tennessee, United States. It was built in the early 19th century by James Cantrell, a prominent businessman and farmer in the area. The property features a two-story log cabin that was built in the early 1800s, as well as a one-story dogtrot-style cabin that was added later. The log cabin is made of hand-hewn logs and features a stone chimney, while the dogtrot cabin has a gabled roof and a central breezeway. Wheatlands Plantation is a significant example of early pioneer architecture in the Sevierville area. It is also notable for its association with James Cantrell, who was an influential figure in the development of the local economy and social life during the early 19th century. The property was purchased by the City of Sevierville in the 1980s and has been preserved as a historic site. Today, visitors can tour the property and learn about the history of the area and the people who lived there.
